Production Planning Manager, Permanent, Newcastle Under Lyme, up to £55,000

 

We have taken a fantastic job opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to join a rapidly growing, reputable organisation who are UK leaders within their field. The role will oversea several elements of the business, including Supply Chain, Production Planning, Logistics, and Stores. Reporting into the Operations Director, the successful candidate will oversee and manage all stages of the companies Supply Chain and Logistics activities.

Duties will include:

 

  • Create and deliver the organisation’s Supply Chain Strategy
  • Liaise with new and existing suppliers to negotiate rates and build relationships
  • Source and manage suppliers’ suitability and performance according to set SLA’s and KPI’s to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring Supply Chain processes meet legal standards and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to Supply Chain, Production and Logistics
  • Develop and implement safety guidelines
  • Oversee receipt, storage, inventory logging, packaging / repackaging, transport, distribution of all products
  • Organise, manage, and monitor Logistics activity
  • Oversee Shipment Schedules
  • Liaise with customers regarding deliveries
  • Handling escalated complaints
  • Ensure accurate production scheduling.
  • Oversee planning and scheduling of Production activities to ensure materials, labour and equipment are utilised effectively, in accordance with budgetary requirements and deadlines.
  • Generate analyse and present reports to Senior Management
  • Project administration
  • Supervise, manage and develop staff within your teams

 

The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, with at least 5 years’ experience. A strong working knowledge of ERP Systems would be advantageous, alongside excellent leadership, resilience, and communication skills.
