A well-established contractor in Manchester who have been trading for over 40 years are looking for a down to earth Management Accountant for their accounts team.

Your duties will include:

  • Manage invoice discounting
  • Manage Cash flow and chase debtors
  • Reconcile, submit and pay quarterly VAT returns
  • Check submit and pay monthly PAYE/CIS Returns
  • Prepare job cost reports
  • Reconcile month-end sales and purchase ledgers and bank accounts
  • Overseeing the accounts function and implementing changes necessary to transfer from Sage 50 to Xero
  • Provide the Business Administrator with guidance to help achieve his professional goals
  • Liaise with the Bank Relationship and Invoice Discounting Managers
  • Liaise with Quantity Surveyors, monitor progress of valuations, raise related invoices and chase up self-billing invoices
  • Prepare quarterly Management Accounts with Xero
  • Prepare year-end Management Accounts

You must be a good communicator, computer literate with a good working knowledge of data entry and spreadsheets, and knowledge of Excel, Sage, and Xero.
