Credit Controller / Finance Assistant       Swinton           £23,000.00 – £25,000.00

 

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well established manufacturing company based in Swinton. Duties will include;

 

  1. MAINTENANCE OF SALES LEDGER

 Prepare and print sales invoices on a regular basis

 Issue sales invoices and month end statements to customers

 Maintain sales invoice files with relevant documentation including copy delivery

notes and customer purchase orders

 Assist the Company to maintain and develop customer relations

 

 

  1. CREDIT CONTROL

 Manage cash collections from customers and post to relevant customer accounts

 Telephone and email communications with customers in relation to debt chasing

 Maintain debtor collection period within the parameters set by the board

 Reflect all cash receipts in the Company’s accounting system

 Monitor pro-forma accounts for cash receipts

 Prepare customer credit files for review and maintain files

 Monitor customers credit profile on Experian and report any alerts

 Facilitate card payments from customers

 Company banking of customer and other receipts

 

  1. WEEKLY PAYROLL

 Collate and summarise weekly hours, overtime and expenses for 110 staff paid on a weekly payroll

 Maintain HR files for weekly paid staff

 

  1. MONTH END PROCEDURES & GENERAL ADMIN

 Input matched purchase invoices on Access

 Prepare month end sales ledger and bank reconciliations for invoice finance provider

 Assist the finance manager in the preparation of month end management accounts

 Reconcile sales on Accounting system to sales on the control Sheet (Production

Chart)

 

  1. REPORTING & OTHER

 Present and highlight any credit control issues at regular credit control meetings

 Liaise and report to the finance director regarding credit limits and new customer

accounts

 Report to the finance team leader on day to day issues and the Finance Director on high level matters

 Maintain files for staff holidays and assist with general administration of the finance

team

 Assist with collating information on finance projects and year end audit

 Maintain Vehicle Insurances on MID/MOTs etc

 

 

 Full time role which is office based in Swinton

 Hours: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday

 Salary £23,000 – £25,000 per annum dependent on experience

 Holidays of 20 days Plus Bank Holidays (with additional 3 days holiday after 5 years

service)

 Company pension contributions of 3%

 Candidate MUST have experience of dealing with invoice finance facilities with

Banks and experience of producing monthly reconciliations.

 Candidate must be able to work in a small finance team and have a minimum of 5

years experience in a credit control role

 Candidate must be able to drive and have own transport (car parking provided on

site)
