Branch hands over generous sum to support the work of the hospices’

Staff from the Wigan branch of Forrest Recruitment chose St Catherine’s Hospice and Derian House Children’s Hospice as the charities to receive a £500 donation each – some of several handed out by the company across the area.

The nine branches of the Recruitment firm across the region receive a specific amount each year and employees then choose which charity to donate it to.

The staff from the Wigan branch decided to hand half over to St Catherine’s – a charity whose good work they are familiar with through their workings together over the years.  And the other half to Derian House Children’s Hospice a charity close to their hearts.

Branch Manager Danielle Sharrock who visited both hospices’ with Recruitment Consultant Jo Bretherton and Assistant Manager Adele Kilty, said:  “We know what a great place both hospices’ are and the vital work they do – all without receiving much funding from the NHS. We wanted to do our bit to show our support so both charities were the ideal place to receive our donation this year.”
