Wishing the community of Crewe well with a £1,000 donation!

This week our colleague Nicola Higgins from the Crewe branch had the pleasure of meeting with Charles Maines, the CEO of the Wishing Well Charity, and Gemma Edwards, the Wellbeing Lead, and awarding them with a donation of a £1,000. The Wishing Well Charity, who are based in the centre of Crewe, provide essential support to those both within the town, and the wider Cheshire community.

“The aim of the Wishing Well is to improve the health and wellbeing of local people through the provision of a range of participative activities and learning opportunities identified and requested by the community. It has grown into a thriving community support system providing a wide range of health related services and activities to local people and is highly valued by health and social care professionals working with patients and clients living in the area.”

Our Crewe branch are incredibly conscious of the hardships suffered over the last few years due to the Covid19 pandemic within the local area, and were keen to support a charity who offer a life line to those around them. The charity provides support in various forms including through holiday clubs, meals on wheels, wellbeing initiatives and supported adult services such as life skills when returning to the workplace. The team hope that the £1,000 donation can make a real impact on those who need it most!
